Sharon Burgess

Sharon was born in the United Kingdom and at a young age came to Australia with her family.  Her mother was always at the sewing machine sewing clothing and she has vivid memories of her mum sewing a wedding dress but it was not until Sharon had her own children that she thought about her own sewing journey.  An urgent need for another hobby lead her to borrowing her mother’s sewing machine in 2009 and from there her sewing journey began with a beginners Patchwork Class at her local Quilt shop.  It was not long into Sharon’s sewing journey that she discovered English Paper Piecing. She was hooked.  Her passion for EPP grew stronger and her true love for the craft and fussy cutting really took off when she started making her La Passacaglia Quilt back in July 2014. Sharon has started releasing her own range of patterns, including English Paper Piecing patterns.
