Colorful Crochet
With More Than 20 New Crochet Projects
Crochet has not only brought me joy, satisfaction, and peace of mind when I'm crocheting, it has had a whole wealth of wonderful side effects too. You'll notice that one of the projects in this book is a copy of my very first crochet project, the project that taught me how to crochet. It's a poncho in pink, green, and off-white, that I made when I was only nine years old. I've felt a bit sentimental about this project, and I like that it's part of my book now. You see, this poncho was the start of that tremendous amount of crochet pleasure and achievement I experienced much later in life. In fact, it was the seed that eventually led to my blog, many fantastic crafty friendships - lovely virtual ones all around the world, as well as in-person ones -, and now this book!
With this book I hope to inspire you to do what makes me happy, and hope it will make you happy too: crochet!
About the Author
Marianne Dekkers Roos
After a professional career as management assistant and during an eight-year stay in the USA as an expat, Marianne Dekkers-Roos revived her long lost creative side. She found out that this is where her true passion lies, crochet being the number 1.
Over the years she's gone from giving her own little twists to existing patterns, to designing her own, most of which she shares on her blog. She's a proud member of the CraftKitchen team of bloggers, and is one of the CraftAsTherapy moderators.
Marianne is in her mid-fifties and lives near Amsterdam, The Netherlands with her husband, two children, a cat, and a - young & playful - labrador retriever.
